Cheap and easy, lol, (picture below) but dissasemble the spring first if so and cut it how you want it, as long the shock will not clamp together. And get the front lights adjusted, and maybe the wheel camber.

Or maybe other Springs from other olds out there that is a little lower than the 71 delta springs, or have some spring shop to make a new pair for u in same tread size but lower.

No one makes lowering spindles for the 1971-76 cars that I can find (note that Caprice spindles interchange, but I can't find those, either), so your only options are shorter springs or cutting your springs. One full coil should drop the car about 1.5" - 2", but you might want to sneak up on this, as you obviously can't reverse the process without buying different springs. Yeah, that's a PITA, as you have to disassemble the front suspension, cut the springs, put it back together, look at it, and maybe repeat the process.

When I got my current Olds, the front end was pre-lowered - both front springs were broken, which lowered the front by about an inch. I replaced them with good springs as soon as I could.

I had a '68 88 once where the front springs had sagged - looked like crap, scraped road obstructions and bottomed out all the time. Why would you want to do that?

Check with Eaton springs. http://eatondetroitspring.com
If they don't have them listed, they can custom make them.
Before installing air bags on my Impala, I had Eaton 2" drop springs. The ride was just like stock, nice and soft.

Joe is 100% correct.. I did the same thing to my Nova and it took 3 times to get it where I wanted it. Yeah it rode a little harder and you will need to get analignment for sure but I love the look of a slightly lowered car...
