Junkyard finds

I had a succesfull junkyard search today, managed to get a set of sport mirrors for the '75 for $30.00. I also found 2 sets of SS 111 rims, unfortunately they were 14" not 15". Best of all I found a '75 Regal with a tilt column. Could not get it fully out by the time the yard closed, so I will need to go back for it. Now a question, my Cutlass has a factory floor shift, and the tilt column in the Regal is a column shift. Does anyone have instructions on how to pull apart the columns to swap over the sleeve that does not have the shifter mount? I know its possible, but I don't know how difficult it is. Any help would be appreciated.

I know what you are looking for but when I converted my Delta to floor shift I chickened out on that deal. I shudder every time I see the inside of a steering column, especially the newer ones with all the in-wheel controls, wires, and connectors. UGHHH!

If you don't have a Chassis Service Manual yet get one! They've got a diagram of the steering column exploded so you can see what's what. They're on ebay all the time, one printed for each year and the mid-1970's go for a pretty reasonable price. John

Update

Thanks for the replies guys. I pulled the column yesterday and got it, 4 SS-111 centercaps and a front license plate bracket for $75.00. Earlier that day I got 4 chrome 15" SS-111 rims in great shape for $125.00 but without centercaps. Also found a set of 14" SS-111 painted rims with centercaps and trim rings, with 4 good white-letter BF-Goodrich TA's for $200.00, but I prefer the 15" rims on the '73-'77's. Now I just need to find a set of seatbelts for the swivel bucket seats and I can start on the interior.
