help 1975 delta 88 conv. body bushings
Does anyone know the OEM or an aftermarket part # for the body mounts/ bushings for this car? Does any one have nos or Moog or any other brand of new unused body mounts for this car? Thanks. Heres my contact info james.dowling99@yahoo.com
I'm in the same boat...I can't find anyone who makes a kit..but if you google " body bushing dimensions" a great web site dose pop up that you can measure yours and custom order all the pieces you need... I just ordered a 64-67 442 convertible kit in poly that I may have to change frame hole sizes with 1 1/4" washers tack welded to the frame but I won't know exactly till the kit comes...
I'm trying to get the body back on my chasis [75 conv]. thanks for reply. I was led to believe impala bushings are the same. The parts place has them reproduced. I 'll likely order after I do all brake & fuel lines.
body bushings
I Ordered body bushings 10 years ago, from local auto parts store. advance suspension bb1. I believe they are "universal" mounts. they look correct. I had misplaced them but I found where they were hiding. I am going to try my luck with them. I am not ready to mate chassis & body yet, so RI can't attest to results. Advance suspension is in jersey city n.j. Parts place has repro impala bushings, they should be the same, depending on who you ask. The guy who answered phone there was an ***, with an attitude. hope this helps a little
I checked out Parts Place and yes they have the Impala kit at $250 which I consider to be fairly pricey. On another thread I was told that a GM A body kit should also fit and these are considerably cheaper by about half for a nolathane kit. My problem is that I am in New Zealand and whatever I purchase has to be absolutely correct for purpose as it is too expensive to freight back and swap etc. Seems to me that 7th gen delta 88's are not well catered for in the aftermarket parts world especially the 71-72 model. Am also struggling to find a new gas tank- I was wondering if anyone has fitted a more common GM tank from another model without too much hassle?

They're only ignored because there isn't enough demand for parts for them for a company to invest in the tooling, etc., necessary to make the replacement parts. As much as we all like these cars, their numbers are very small compared to the Cutlasses, Chevelles, Camaros, and Firebirds being sought after and restored.
As the former owner of a '75 Delta 88 convertible, a '64 Jetstar 88, and a '73 Custom Cruiser as well as the current owner of a '67 Delta 88, I know just what you mean. No one makes or has ever made replacement body, trim, etc. parts for the big Oldsmobiles of any era, and it's likely no one ever will.
