Drill it , or air chisel , or grind it with a dremel , but that takes to long ... Air Chisel is probably the best if you are equiped .

Easy. You drill out the rivets. Do you have a CSM so you don't end up having a SNAFU when you take them out? See page 3-9 of this link: http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/membe...ection_2-3.pdf

Replacement upper ball joints have nuts/bolts/washers to install them.

Are you going to do just the uppers? If you're doing Ball Joints, you might as well do the lowers too. If they're toast, you're prolly in the market to do all the front end UCA and LCA bushings, stabilizer links and sway bar bushings too. From the sounds of it if you have OEM ball joints, EVERYTHING on that cars front end is prolly due for changeout.

I drilled mine out and then used a punch, was easier than I thought.

Fastest way is a torch. Cut the top side so the old ball joint prevents any damage to the A-arm.

Drill them and use a punch. If you use a quality drill bit it's a breeze.
Make sure you grease them as well, then grease all the other lube points, if you do that regularly you won't need to replace them very often.

Roger.

After 42 years, they are due. Car will ride like new afterwards!

Rockauto has been my source for parts like these. Moog brand is the best if you wish to stay with OEM quality.

Look for the rockauto discount code stickied in the general section!
