72 supreme Wheel/Fender spacing

I just put some 15x8.5 American Racing wheels with 260 tires on this past weekend and noticed my passenger side has signifacntly less room between the tire and fenders than the driver side? I thought maybe the wheels were staggered so I switched the wheels around and got the same results.
Just to clarify, both the front passenger and the rear passenger side fender well haveclearance issues while the driver side has plenty of room.

The passenger side has about a half inch from the fender in the front and about an inch in the back. The driver side has about an inch more in the front and rear than the passenger...... puzzling...

I never noticed this with my previous wheels but they were alot smaller. 14x7 stock SSII

Has anyone ever experienced this or have any idead what could cause this? Thanks in advance!

body not centered on the frame ?

you can measure the body to frame distance on each side right in the wheel well w the tire off

Hmm I'll try that, Where do I take the measurements from after taking the wheel off? Thanks for your help.

if its off by a half an inch you should be able to tell, the body hangs down over the top of the frame inside the rr wheel well, on my car i could stick my finger between the body and frame on one side and there was no space on the other side...my car had been hit in the rear from the side at one point in time before I got it and the body uneven on th eframe was part of the result.
