Two things I'm aware of. The wheelbase (distance between the front wheels and the rear wheels) is a little bit longer in the four door than the two door. Then the convertible frame is fully boxed where the hardtop and post cars have three sided channel. The convert needs a stronger frame since it doesn't have the roof to hold the car together. The Vista Cruiser wagon also has a fully boxed frame, but the standard Cutlass wagon is a channel.
