64 new front end

Hi guys, I'm getting the front end rebuilt for the 64 f-85 I just bought. New everthing except lower control arms. Hopfully it will done by the end of the week. Here are some pictures of it hanging on the lift. Also replaced the trans mount, a small electrical short fixed, new plugs and adjusted the e brake. Most everything else looks great. I can't wait to her done and start driving! Wanted all the safety issues fixed first. I have a question about the 425, it has an Edelbrock Carb & manifold. I looked up the carb number and looks like it is a 600. Is that a little small for a 65' 425 w/ 10.25 compression?

I'd drive it and see how runs before changing the carb. I see you have front disc brakes. I would have thought all the front end stuff would have been replaced with the install of that system? Again nice car.

They did the lower ball joints at the time they did the brakes. The springs were SHOT, Bushings SHOT, makes you wonder what they were thinking. But it's getting fixed and should last a long time before I have to mess with it again, if ever. I'm wondering what I should do next. It doesn't have a posi and I'm not sure what the rear end is, so maybe thats the next place to look into. Over the winter I'll pull the door panels off and clean the rear window mech's so they work easier. Tweak the seats so I'm more comfortable, etc.

I hear ya, lol. Since that was the case, I'd go over all safety and driveability items first.

Did that already, Everything else is in great condition. Well as far tell by inspecting it from the out side. I'm sure once we start driving it around we'll notice some things.
For the most part I'm pleased with the purchase. I think we did Ok. Do you have any recommendations for Insurance company's ?? I have looked at 3 so far but I'm not sure what I'm even looking at.
