63-64 Oldsmobile frame similarities?

Hello! Does anyone know that the differences in frames and bodys were for the 63 to 64 year. My frame is shot on my 64 dynammic 88 4dr. But there is a gentleman in a few towns over selling a 1963 oldsmobile. He doesn't know what model it is so I'm wondering if it would work. Please lemme know asap

This is my car!

I would think they're identical (if the wheelbase is the same), but let's wait for somebody with more experience working on these cars to chime in.

Alex, all I have to go by are part #s in Jan 65 parts book and they don't look promising for this swap.

It shows different part numbers for 1963 88/Starfire and 1964 Dynamic/Super/Starfire/Jetstar I. I don't know what the differences are between years. Any 64 big car frame except Ninety Eight or station wagon will work though.

Ninety Eights (the parts car) are different part numbers entirely and are longer wheelbase and in the trunk area.

Is the rust limited to the torque box areas? If you can create a jig you might be able to repair those.

Good luck, young'un.

Your parts car is a 63 98 convertible, it will have a closed frame and the side rails are longer. You can "Z" cut the side and shorten it to fit your car but if it were me I would look for the correct frame further south where the rust would be less. You won't be able to see inside the convertible frame being closed I would think it's rusty and maybe worse then the one your replacing.
