Yeah, GM did. Get the dual exhaust crossmember from a mid-90s Caprice or Impala SS with dual exhaust.

That's what I did, but keep in mind they are set up for 700r4 mounts.

With that in mind...

What does it take to make it fit a Th-350?

Thumbs up Thanks for the info

Thanks folks that is just the info I needed because I want to switch from the 200r-4 to a 700r-4 anyway. Now I just have to get hold of one. Will the drive shaft from these cars be the right lengh for my delta or will I need to have one fabed to fit.

As far as fitment for using an impala xmember, with a th350, you will have to move it forward 2.125 inches and drill new holes. I doubt It will slide forward enough without notching the hell out of it. Bad idea.

It honestly is easier to modify your existing th350/200c crossmember.

Driveshaft will not work either.
The bubble caprices/impalas came with the 700r4, BUT the rear axles were 8.5"

Deltas had the 7.5" which requires an inch longer driveshaft.

You would have to swap the whole shebang for it to be right. Trans, xmember, driveshaft, and rearend from the caprice will bolt under the delta, if you want to use the 700r4 overdrive trans. Plus, it's a chevy pattern case, and you would need an adapter plate and convertor shims

If your delta has the overdrive 2004r, you would have to slide that crossmember 4.5" forward to use a 700r4.
Again you are NOT gonna have that kind of room to work with.

Hahahaha, J, you're killing me.

At least now, I know.

So... That pushes Posi 8.5 ahead of dual exhaust. After all........ I wouldn't want to put the rear in only to learn I'll need a new driveshaft, and then a new crossmember...
