1970 Cutlass Front Swaybar

The front swaybar on my Cutlass looks like its 1.25". I dont think that is a factory size for my car...is it?
Anyone have any idea what it came off of?
I am looing to replace the bushing and mounting bracket with a factory correct set and cant seem to figure out what someone has done.

i think there was more than one size that could have been on it. i have several differant sizes of front sway bars in my bone yard and all came from 68 to 72 cutlass and 442s.

this link may help you some.

1.25 inch front anti-bars came on 1970 to 1981 Trans Am's and will fit on your Cutlass. You can buy aftermarket bushing and brackets, not sure on a source for factory rubber ones. The TA uses allen head bolts with this application as there is not enough room for a 6 sided bolt.

Brackets are widely available used. Bushings can be had at Rockauto (Moog brand). These would be for factory bars up to 1". Doubt they will work for the larger bars, but who knows...

Energy Suspension is a good source for the brackets and end links, I used to run the T/A sway bar, reduces body roll quite a bit.
