1964 Cutlass - Any interchangable bumpers?
1964 Cutlass - Any interchangable bumpers?
Am looking for front and rear bumpers for my 64 project. Are any other 64 model bumpers interchangable? I found a 64 Jetstar with good bumpers, would these fit?
Most GM car lines in the 1960s use one-year-only sheet metal, and almost nothing interchanges across divisions as far as exterior is concerned. Sorry, 1964 Cutlass, F85, or wagon are the only options. Interestingly, the 1964 cars used the same back bumper on coupes, sedans, and wagons.
You’re in Maryland! Just drive a little south!
Being from NY, I do know what you mean.
This is from Old Gold Salvage yard in Dixie Florida. He does sell parts on eBay and he will ship if you want to try and contact him.

64 is a one year bumper. You can run a 65 rear bumper and no one would notice except 64/65 owners. the front bumper would be harder to pull off unless you changed the front clip to a 65. Both years are 1 year but 65 seems to be more available for good cores.
64 rear bumper is the same on 64/65 wagons I believe Buick and Oldsmobile as well, if my memory serves me correctly
