1979 Hurst Olds

I would like to find one. Black and Gold preferred. Willing to pay up to $15k for the right car. Will consider projects.

Jon, check out Offerup.com and type in 1979 Cutlass. Someone in Washington State has a SUNROOF white/gold 79 H/O for $15,000, this is the one to get. The wheels are re-done the wrong shade, but Wheel Collision in Bath, PA can fix that. It also looks like the drivers seat bottom was re-covered in a different color material, again a minor detail compared to the rest of the car which is super nice.
Shipping would be around 2 grand to PA, but man, a sunroof car? Holy Cow what a find.

Thanks I looked at the car mentioned on offerup. I may make an offer on it. Time will tell. Still looking.

Best of luck on that possible offer, maybe you can get that price down a bit to offset any shipping. With the weather turning bad by the day up there in the North I'd highly recommend enclosed shipping.

The only time I was ever even in a Sunroof/moonroof 79 Hurst, one was owned by Brian Monahan and he was going to restore it, that car was a bit rough. This was years after he restored the white/gold 79 H/O for me that I used to have which originally was his car. I remember getting in that car, hitting the switch for the roof and just the sound of it sliding back into the roof was enough to make me want it over my t-top car.
Unfortunately, Brian fell ill not long after he bought that H/O and sold it without restoring it. Not sure whom it went to, but I don't believe the car you are looking at is that car..
