I went on a similiar search. Sold in 81, tracked it through 3 owners up to 2006. Third owner shipped it out to Utah to a guy that bought it without ever seeing it. I can't find the VIN either so I gave up. Have you tried your local County recording office? Maybe try an old insurance agency that insured it?

Unless you are extremely lucky you would be better off buying a good like example and build it like you want and it could be your second just car like your first. Doubtful it looks like you remember it back in the day. Good luck in your quest... Just my thoughts...Tedd

Do you have the VIN to help in your search??? Internet search by VIN may reveal something... Good luck in your endeavors to find your 69...

I remember seeing this car at one of the Nationals, either Atlanta, or Greensboro in the mid 90's....it was stunning!
I took a bunch of pictures of that car. Not sure where they are now, though.
Good luck on your search!

In NJ, you can get info. on a previously owned car, including the VIN, by paying a nominal fee (10-15 bucks) to motor vehicle. You just have to specify the make and model car and when you owned it. I was able to get the VIN of a car I bought in 1989. PA may offer a similar service.
