Hi Twilight,

I had requested the VIN number, and pictures of the cowl tag and and of the undercarriage regarding the '71, but I never received a response from the seller, so I haven't been able to move forward on that one.

As to the '72, I like what I can see in the pictures but my co-pilot (read wifey) is not thrilled with the custom color. I'm still trying to wear her down, so this one is still a contender.

Bottom line, I'm still in the market and spending a lot of time each day hitting all of the usual websites and talking with other members of the Oldsmobile Club of Arizona trying to track down the right car for our family. At the monthly club meeting this past weekend, I managed to get more leads, so I'm working on those opportunities as well.

One of the really frustrating aspects of this search is the fact that there's a guy in my subdivision who has a collection of cars (mostly Chevys) which includes a '71 Cutlass Supreme convertible in Nordic Blue that I absolutely love, which he hasn't started up in close to a year, but he's not interested in selling any of his cars. He told me that it makes him happy just to walk into his garage and see his collection. I can completely understand how he feels, it's just painful to think that the Olds is just sitting there, slowly deteriorating and gathering dust. I also recently participated in an auction on a '70 442 that really blew my hair back, but after inspecting the car and figuring in the cost of necessary repairs to make it safe and road-worthy, plus the 10% buyer's premium on top of the bid price, the final winning top bid exceeded my hard cap budget limit.

The search continues!

The seller does not discriminate! I called and left a message. No response......

I have a 1972 Cutlass 442 Clone Convertible for sale. If you go to Streetside Classics Tampa (https://www.streetsideclassics.com/v...42-convertible) where I have it on consignment you can see detailed pictures and video of the vehicle. I am looking to get 25K for the vehicle.

Thanks to everyone here on the forum who reached out to help me in my quest for a car. "Barry" and I found each other earlier this week, just in time for Valentine's Day (LOL).
