WTB 69-72 Flattop

Got a driver quality flattop you need to get rid of? Are you any where close to Indiana? Let me know I need a wagon. Greg Locke 765.623.4599 grubbygreg@yahoo.com

I may consider selling my 1971 Viking Blue flat top. I have not driven it since last spring and now the transmission started to leak from sitting. It also needs fresh tires. Very low optioned plain 350 car. Rust free Texas car that I purchased from the original owner in the late 1990's. Will consider $7,000 for it. Here is a link to few pictures:

Nice car. Like the color and the idea of a car from a dry area. Where are you in Tx? What's the cars story?

To be fair, there is also a very nice flat top that just popped up for sale (not mine):

Here is one on the west coast. Seems to be just surface rust. The interior needs help.
Factory air car that runs great. Several photos on line. Good luck, Trent in Los Angeles

I have seen the Portland car in person. A decent car more like a $10K car in my opinion. And I am pretty sure I saw it two years ago for sale and it had been for sale about 2 years at that time.

just too much for that car.

I drove the Portland car back when it was in California 350 V8 3 speed on the tree. It was a very nice clean low miles original car. It makes sense to put that much money into a car if that is your dream car and you want to keep it. However, maybe too much to paint and change the motor to flip. That car has been for sale for a long time. Power steering was added in Los Angeles, might have needed new brackets for the 455. I also know the wagon posted (not mine) yesterday. I don't think there is any rot. It just needs paint and seat covers. The car really runs well, is straight, and the factory air is complete. However, far from Indiana. I still have the red/red 67 Cutlass convt we used on our wedding day back in the late 1980's. I think you are right about the Portland car for sale for about four years. Nice photo Lemoldsnut! Regards, Trent in Los Angeles

Cutlass vs kitchen

Right now I'm engaged in negotiations with the wife over what we need more. I'm afraid she is winning.

Glad to hear that. We decided to keep our 71 Flat Top wagon.

I've had my eye on this one. And the west coast is exactly where a midwest person needs to be car shopping as I speak from experience. Save 10's of thousands on body work. Lots of places ship cars, enclosed even, in the $1500 range give or take. spend the $300 for the plane trip, hotel and rental car for the weekend, inspect the car in person and be amazed at how nice a vehicle you can get. $3500 in the midwest gets you a rust bucket. I've been there too.
