The 54 did not have in dash AC. It came through the package tray and blew into outlets mounted in the headliner above the front and rear seats. The evaporator was mounted in the trunk. That was changed in 55 where the outlets were in the dash.

If you found one and all the AC stuff was intact it would really be rare. Those 4 groove pulleys would probably be gone a long time ago. I see your car has the air intake scoops on top of the rear quarters so apparently it had or has air. If that is the case, how much of the system is intact?
