Where are you located Mark?
I know of a 2D black 76 with T-roof,air, cloth seats, approx 84,000 miles. Lots of work done to it. Located in Toronto Ontario. He had talked about selling it earlier this spring. He mentioned $16k, owning one myself I couldn't see him getting that amount but then again I have no idea what others are paying for these cars.
I could get in touch with him and pass your name on if this is what you may have an interest in.
Good luck with your search.

May I ask what you are willing to spend? My friend has several in very long term storage including a 76 5 speed T Top Salon a 76 455 T Top Supreme Brougham and a black on firethorn red 77 T Top Supreme Brougham. The cars have all power options and factory 8 Track Stereos. All cars have well under 10k miles and were put away in the late 70s to early 80s. One thing I know for sure, if they come out, it will have to be for the right price and they will not be cheap....

10k to 12k will buy a very nice Cutlass. However, it would take much more to buy one of the three I spoke about because of the condition, the options and such low miles. I do have a pretty nice original one owner 77 Cutlass Supreme, 350 with power windows, nice original paint ect, low miles, under 80k miles but no T Tops for 5000 if you are interested. Here are a few photos of the car.

Mark, I spoke with the guy that owns the 76. He in fact tried to sell it but had no takers for the price he was looking for. He has now decided to keep it.
I think your 10-12k price point is high for a 76-77 fully optioned supreme. I'm sure you will find a nice one alot cheaper than that . I don't believe these cars are worth much more than 4-5k in mint condition, but that is my opinion with owning a 76 .Good luck with your search, I'm looking forward to viewing pics of your find here on CO.

Herbie, You may be correct with your assumptions, If that's the case I may get my money back when the time comes I can't drive any more. I know my kids certainly don't want it LOL. I personally would sink my $$ into something older had I not picked up my 76 cheap. Also because the 76 Olds was the first car I owned and had tons of fun in it. I will wait and see if you are correct, I hope to live to see the day that my kids will have a little bit of money to split down the road with the sale of my 76.

Anybody know of a '76 Cutlass 'S' or '76 442 with the kind of miles Herbie's survivor cars have? I'm looking for a survivor low miles (1K-30K) Cutlass 'S' or 442 that's been pampered and tucked away in mint condition. I had a '76 Supreme in HS back in the early 80's and loved the car in every respect. - Thx, Brad

Will keep an eye out on the local craigslist and ebay. Always eyeing those sights and local sites for cars. I have sunk a ton of $ in my 76 Cutlass 442. Was the car I grew up in as a kid, was lucky to find one in 1992 before getting my license... Blue/white 442. Family kept the red/white one I have now restored. Between great memories of tearing up the roads as a kind in my blue one, college years in the red one... Has a lot of sentimental value to me, I went into restoring without the thought of what it may bring down the road.
I don't know about others, but when i see these super ultra low cars stuck away in garages... Never driven... and the sellers thinking they have gold and won't sell them... gets the acid reflux going. These units were meant to be driven and enjoyed, its not like they will ever be the value of a hemi cuda/challenger/gtx, or 70 442 W30... A good buyer comes along, who will take care of the unit, importantly drive them and enjoys the car shows. Sell them.
I doubt this era of car will ever be like the cars pre 1973. Except for those of us that grew up in one. And those out there that want something different than what always shows up at their local car shows.
