Wanted 1970, 71 or 72 442 convertible

Hello, I am in the market to buy a 1970 (preferred), 1971 or 1972 442 convertible in at least good condition. I am only looking for a car that has no rot as I do not want to replace any sheet metal but I do not mind redoing the interior or having engine work done I am also looking for the car to have numbers matching drive train and in the case of a 1972 442 it must have the 455 engine. I am looking to spend up to $25000.00 for this car (depending upon condition) so if you know someone selling one please send me their contact information.

Hello.

I have a 1970 Cutlass Supreme convertible. Triple black, white striped OAI hood, 4-speed, numbers matching block. Cosmetically and mechanically exceptional, unlikely to find a better example anywhere. That said, $25k is a bit less than what I can accept, so if you have continued interest please send me a PM for pics and further detail. The car is located in central New Jersey.

Best of luck in your search.

Tim

Thank you for the vin but I would not be interested in a 1972 unless it had the 455 designation (U,V or X) in the VIN and also a piece of documentation showing it came with the 442 option.

1971 442 Convertible

Considering selling our 1971 442 convertible. Red (GM code 75 - Matador Red), white top / stripes, black interior. Bucket seats with Hurst dual gate shifter. Numbers matching engine, build sheet and a bunch of paperwork. Engine, transmission, brakes, etc. all gone through and rebuilt. Excellent mechanically and drives surprisingly well for a car this old. A/C needs charging. The carpet, seat covers and door panels are about 5 years old. We have owned this car for approximately 7 years and had plans to paint it but the $10k for a quality paint job is tough to part with at this point in our lives. We have an excellent, original ram air hood along with 2 unused NOS fenders in storage. These would go with the car. There is some rust in the trunk area of this car, a few bubbles on the rear wheel arches. I planned to replace the truck floor, lid + repair a few spots in the quarter panel near the rear wheel openings. That said, the general condition of the paint is very good and most people would feel fine about entering this car in a local car show. Price is $30k. Atlanta area.

I'm doing well, I'm still looking but I'm willing to wait to save myself 5 big ones. But you have peaked my curiosity as to having a car that I may like so I would like to see the photos if possible. Can you post them here?
