There is a 65 f85 2 door post in the local craigslist here in Los Angeles. It is all original with black plates. Straight car needing very little. Craiglist ad reads 65 Cutlass F85, Id number is:5962596192. Looks to be a good solid ca. car. He is asking $4700.Good luck. Paul

Thanks have seen this one before. Looks to be a good foundation, but looking for a Club Coupe primarily. No side trim, bench seat, short hood spear, and a few other differences.

I love these cars. Stumbled upon this one and had to snap it up. Haven't touched it since the day I bought it...just dragging it around on trailers for the past 8 years from new house to new house.
Some day...

I've looked at several over the past year, but all had shot floors, trunk, and quarters. I'm looking for an original solid (rust free) or close car so is a challenge.

I'm familiar with the car it was in Oregon. I had talked to the seller several times, but couldn't get much detail on the car beyond some pictures and general information. I believed car to be original, so looked into costs getting it shipped to Florida, but couldn't find anyone willing to drag it this far, so never made an offer. It's been/was listed for at least a year. Surprised someone on the west coast didn't pick it up.

That is a good looking car and a fair price. The only thing is that the blue plates likely mean the car was brought into CA sometime between 1969 and the late 1980s. Where it lived before that will govern how solid the body is.

Seller says he really doesn't know much about the car. He also doesn't know what body work has been done to the car or what the original color was? Some quick homework and the car is listed on Copart for sale as an auction car. Copart site says the car is in New Mexico for viewing and seller says car is in CA at a Copart lot? Who knows. I'll see if he sends me any pictures of the trunk floor and the cowl tag. The Copart site has a few additional pictures.

Thanks for the lead. Reached out to the seller. Car has some minor rust and age related bumps and bruises. Appears to be original paint...seller states. I think if your on the west coast WORTH CHECKING OUT. If a club coupe or even a sport coupes I probable would pursue.
