New and Looking for First Olds Project

Hello, and thanks for allowing me to join up here. My son and I restore old cars as a hobby; we have mostly done Chevrolet's and want to find a solid Olds Cutlass for our next project. My parent's always bought Olds cars; my first car was a 67 Delmont 88. Throughout high school and college, I always had my eye on finding a late 60's - early 70's Cutlass. Time to go for it!

If anyone has any leads on good solid project cars, please keep me in mind. I'm not looking for a 442 or rare car. We want something as factory original as possible, hard top or convertible, any options, not a rust bucket or needing tons of metal work. Two doors please! We have budget to spend but this a hobby, not a business!

Thanks for the support. I hope to find an Olds and become a contributor here as I have with my past Chevrolet cars on other message boards.

Jim

Smile Welcome

Welcome to the site Jim.
It might help if you post where you are located people close to you might more readily offer up something of interest. Good luck in your search. Are you looking for a big, or a (relative) small car?

Thanks for the welcome. I am in Germantown, Maryland but would consider shipping the right car or will pick up myself.

Jim,

You should come to the chapter meetings for Capitol City Rockets (the DC area chapter of the Olds Club of America). We are having our spring Dust Off on Apr 18 at Star Pontiac in Leesburg, VA.

By the way, there was a 67 Delmont for sale at the Howard County swap meet last month.

Capitol City Rockets Meeting / Club

Thanks Joe. I will try and make the meeting on the 18th. That date should work for me. I have attended your show at Montgomery College several times. Nice bunch of people. I will search the web for more info on the club. Can you send me info on the meeting? Location / time, etc..
jmiles.pm@gmail.com Thanks - Jim

Thanks Joe!

My son and I will be there. Good opportunity to put some miles on the Camaro (weather permitting, please!). Look forward to meeting you.

Pat, I noticed you have a '58. Have you seen this '56 for sale? Curious what you think of it....

Mine is a 57 easy mistake That is a nice looking 4 door, I like the gray color. Seems a little pricey for a 4 door though I would have thought more in the 6k range.
