Looking for 1964 Cutlass Convertible - Green

My first car was a 1964 Cutlass Convertible. It was Jade Mist Metallic w/ Dark Green interior, 330 / 290 engine, Jetaway transmission, etc. I have seen a couple for sale over the past few years and would like to possibly buy another one. I'm looking for one in the original color combination that would need little if any work done. If you know of anyone having a good quality model out there please give me a post. Thanks, Dan

65 cutlass convertible

It needs a top and very minor works. It runs good, fair conditions inside out. The color is however blackcherry flavor.

Looking for a '64 Cutlass

Thanks for your post, Lorenzo. I appreciate your information. However, I'm getting to old (or to lazy) to go through another restoration or color change. I'm holding out for that day when I find a green on green '64 Cutlass convertible that all I have to do is insert the key in the ignition, start it up, and drive!

Good luck on your search. Your chances of finding a green 50 year old car like you had are pretty slim. Green is probably one of the least popular colors and many of them were repainted over the years.

You're probably right. I have seen a few out there over the years. I saw a perfect '64 442 convertible about a year ago. But, for me, the price was too high. A few years ago there was on at a classic car dealership in Florida. By the time I saw the ad the car was gone. That's why I put my post in this forum, hoping that the owner of that one might see my request.
