Just to let you know, I have called and talked with Marilyn one time since everything went wrong and I don't know whether or not to just forget and move on or to keep thinking about it everyday..... She can be had for 70,000 but comparative to what just sold for 100K at the overpriced auctions I still think the 40K we offered is reasonable..... I guess when the W30 is closer to complete I will do what I can to get the H/O bought and a W30 will sell.....

If the car at auction, which was clearly in incredible shape, sold for 100K then their car is at a much lesser grade with it having actual rust through in both fenders and the trunklid. I feel 40k is reasonable To answer the question you asked though 40 is not near 70 and I never said it was. There simply is no comparing the two....

And sorry to let you know what's going on but I do believe you asked.

Just seeing the justification about it was all, i did not mean any disrespect by it. How bad is this "actual" rust on the fenders and trunk lid, do you have pictures of this? And a big selling poing on this car I feel, and was stated earlier, was how original it was. You can find over restored cars all day long but to find an all original one makes it one rare bird I say.

The rust is through at the bottom of both fenders. If you close your index finger to your thumb that is the diameter of each hole. The decklid is starting to bubble on the back passenger side. The mirrors are missing the paint on the back side and the interior could use a little bit of attention as well. No matter what it is still a '69 H/O and sooooooooo sweeeeet!

I also wanted to let you know I didn't mean anything negative as well it just seems that everytime I get on here to answer a question I get attacked. For that I apologize....

Yeah, if you would have been on about a month ago i had mine up for sale. Just keep your eyes out for another one i say, like you said you feel the price is too high so move on. I know you have emotional attachment to this car but in the end it is just a car sir, nothing more

I know where there's one in west Georgia and I think the guy might be looking to sell it. I looked at it and its got a nice redone interior, non-numbers matching 455, and needs a bit of paint work.

If anyone is interested, I can get his email address.

Clone is a word to use when trying to match as close to a real H/O . A tribute is more what muscle car tv show is doing styling queues from a real h/o but not trying to clone .

That lady showed up to the Olds nationals back in 2011 when it was held in Reno.

And I am still wating...

Hey all, just a quick note. The Mrs. that actually owns the car I am sad to say is now in a nursing home with dimentia that is progressing fast. Mr. and I have been talking and we are going to get together soon. I will, provided all goes as planned, still end up with "Chitty" 20 years after I first spotted her. I am very saddend by the fact however, that I won't get to share the moment that I have waited so long for with her. I know she would have made a huge deal out of this and I just hope that she can somehow be there when it finally happens.

Wish you both well the 69 H/O and you. Maybe she should of sold it back when she was all there. I was in RENO in 2011 with my 70 W-32 Cutlass SX.
