Would like to find a restorable 55 2-door hardtop(prefer 88 or 88 Holiday) within a reasonable distance of N. E. Texas. Engine not really important as long as it has the side trim pieces and bumpers. Thanks.

 

I see a '55 two door Olds on Reno Craigslist under cars for sale by owner. Might be a solid western car and seems to be mostly there. May be too far away for you though.

 

I appreciate your letting me know about the Craigslist post. Called, but no answer. Would have been nice if he had posted some pics with the tarp off. The front chrome looks good though. I'll try sending him email and see if I get an answer.

 

The car looks like it is at a shop so they may not be in until a little later. We are two hours later than you here so you may just try calling again a little later. I am not sure, but i may have done some circle track racing against these guys back in the '90s so I may know them, but Miller is a very common nameso hard to tell.

 

Now there is another '55 Olds on Reno craigslist. Posting # 3425912717. The first one looked better from what was visible.

 

And if you want a really nice '55 Olds, there is one on Los Angeles craigslist that is pretty much all done that you may want to look at.

 

What are you planning? I want to build a restomod 54' hardtop so bad I can't stand it.

 

i've got a 55, it's a 4 door tho. needs work. all the pieces are there... can send photos if interested. i'm in indiana tho.

 

I have a 55 Olds 88 2 door post, very rare vehicle.
Damage to right rear quarter panel, bottom portion rolled under slightly. Repair probable.
Right front fender buckled due to towing and rolling under tow vehicle rear fender (Chevy). Repair probable.
Hood blown up during winter storm. Repair probable.
Door close like a bank vault with minimal effort.
It has a transplanted overhauled 326 CI from 1956 Olds 88 (Overhauled in 1972 and Never ran)
Vehicle is in North Eastern Montana so rust is minimal.
I am posting because I have been recently realized that I can not restore this vehicle to the status it deserves.
I do not have current access to this vehicle, but I can get pictures as needed.
This post is to find out what interest there is in this car.
