53 88 2 door wanted

I am looking for a non running 53 2 door sedan or hard top, barn fresh or no drivetrain is what I am looking for as I have a rebuilt motor and a stick setup looking for a home. I would consider a 55 or 56 and possibly a 49 to 52 2 door too as long as it does not run. Jeff

I have a 53 Olds 88 2 door. We have the motor and trans but they are not in the car. There is very little rust on the outside.

This is an interesting thread in that the first 3 posts are each 3 years apart and the thread is still alive. Good luck on finding your car.

Oh, good grief! It came up in the New Posts. I didn't even look at the dates. It's a new post, right?

I was hoping my tow vehicle would have been done sooner but it did not happen,I seen some pics of the 53 in the second post and would have gotten it but nothing to tow it back home with and lost the email address of the person that had it.

I do not have the money to buy one that is that nice plus I would have to spend a bunch of money to put a correct motor back in it,if it does not have a olds motor it better be cheap.

Where are you located ? I am in Northern California. I have a 53 2- door 88 sedan I might sell and know where there is a 52 2-door sedan that you might be able to buy. Neither cars runs and both will need extensive body work. Not sure how much of a project you are looking for

Here's one on Craigslist. Partially restored. John

http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/5893478542.html

This car is an abandoned project . All the body work is done , car is painted cream over british racing green. Frame is rebuilt to stock condition . All chrome is redone. all parts are here to complete the project. the interior will need to be redone. Customer lost interest , your chance to get into a classic car at a good price. Car can go as is or completed .

I did know where a 53 2dr (post) stick shift sedan was sitting in a shed in WV not that far from you. It was a stick car and as I remember the motor was out laying there and the front clip was gone----could probably be bought cheap as it is in an estate deal. Be a chore to get it out of there. There is also a nice 4dr in a barn there but they are awful proud of it. I can get the executors phone number. My email is ferndaleflyer@rtmc.net
