69 H/O - For Sale
69 H/O - For Sale
Hello to the forum.
I would like to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Ken. I live in La Crosse, Wisconsin. I am a classic car nut and I have to admit that I like all classic cars, not just the Oldsmobiles. Oldsmobiles just happen to be what I started with so they tend to be my favorites. I have three Oldsmobiles to go along with a '72 LT-1 Corvette, a 1969 Super Cobra Jet Mach 1 Mustang, and a 1969 Ram Air III Trans Am.
I have decided to cut down on the number of cars in the stable to three. Therefore some decisions have to be made on what to keep and what to let go. The Vette will be going to a new owner in California. The second to go is our 1969 Hurst Olds. I will be listing the car on ebay starting tonight. I thought it would be helpful to also post the car on a dedicated Oldsmobile site. Maybe someone here would be interested in the car or somebody may know of someone looking for an H/O.
The car is a Demmer documented 1969 Hurst Olds. It is Demmer #873. It is also registered on Kurt Karch's Hurst/Olds Registry. I won't do a long drawn out listing here on it, I will try to post a link to the ebay listing as soon as it goes up tonight.
The car needs restoration. The original engine is gone. It has a 1969 455 engine in it. I do not have the D heads, the original intake manifold, the carb, or air intake system. The original OH transmission is still in the car. The transmission serial number is OH-69-1881. It is an SJ code 3.42 rear axle ratio car. The car has been sitting in storage for many years. I finally did a basic tune up on it this past week and got it running. The body has rust in the usual places for a Northern car. The interior is original, mostly complete, and in average condition. The Hurst shorty console is missing. The regular 442 console you see in the pictures was in the car when I bought it.
The car runs and drives but the new owner should plan on trailering the car home or plan on having it shipped to them. Remember, the car has been sitting for at least twenty years and it needs to be restored. Please take a look at the pictures and read the description on ebay. I am listing the car with an ebay Buy It Now price of $25,500.
If you are interested and have any questions about the car please feel free to call me at any time. I'd be happy to talk to you. The car is at my home and in my garage. Anyone is welcome to come and see the car in person, just give me a call to set up a time.
Thanks,
Ken

I anyone wants this car, I have an extra "shorty" consol, Hurst Dual gate shifter, bottom of correct air cleaner, repo intake manifold and other misc parts/ pieces for a 69 H/O that this car will need.
Thanks Jamesbo for the tip on the console and other parts. If I end up keeping the car I may be interested in some of them myself. Ken
