That is the same color combo as my 70 F-85 W-31. Would be cool to have a 70 W-30 the same color.

That's one you can buy and stuff in the garage, just so you can brag to your friends, "Yeah...I've got a 1970 442 W-30."

If I had it in my garage, I'd just sit in a lawn chair for hours, stare at it, and just grin.

"Restore it? Nope! Ain't got the money, what with raisin' four kids...but I got me a 1970 442 W-30...an' you don't!"

It was a miracle that i found the broadcast sheet.I had given up finding it.Was getting ready to vacuum up the carpet and rust when i seen a piece of it and it was the piece with the w30 on it.Then i started sifting through everything 10x over.I have been telling everybody for almost twenty years that i have got a 1970 olds 442 w30.Nobody has come back with any car they have that would trump that but then i am an olds guy and you would have to through out olds prototype version of the corvette that i drooled over for a long time at Iola car show years back.

I would say he is asking about $10,000.His quick flip must have flopped a little. He told me he had it sold for $10,000 when he picked up the car.But maybe that was his response to me telling him i paid $900 when i bought it.

I would NOT trust the new owner. Beware, that is all I have to say. A family member is going through a runaround neverending saga with this family.

My 69 442 grilles are plastic, my guess from the one pic of the passenger side melted is that 70 grilles are plastic as well.

The reason I asked was I have a '71 Cutlass Supreme and the grilles are metal. I pulled a grille off a '71 Cutlass base model and they are plastic. Just curious which way the '70 442 grilles went.

I think only the 71 cutlass supreme grills were metal like that for the years 70-72 anyways

'70 442 grilles are plastic. One of the few parts that hasn't rusted off my brother's car.

I seen the car on ebay the other day when it was at $750 and the buy it now was $22900 and thought was hilarious. He has it listed as all original which it is far from with a different engine and trans and he fails to say the frame is rusted out.I thought there was no way he would get that kind of money for it.Then i see it is at $16000 now and i see what he is doing. He is bidding it up to the reserve and waiting for somebody to bid on it based on his total misrepresentation of it.

why would anybody buy a car for that money on Ebay with out looking it over first... crazy...are the 70 W30's really worth that much? Maybe complete matching numbers car.. but this isnt that... Shoulda spent the extra money back in 1984 when I had a chance.. LOL... but.. i was broke and could only afford the 300$ for my 68 oh well.

The 70 is my favorite body style though.. always wanted one.. maybe i shoudl bid !! 16,101 !! lol
