1969 442 convertible

I am selling my 442. It is a numbers matching car. Not a show car but has great potential. Motor and tranny recently rebuilt.

I agree with Dean , don't be so fast to judge someone's ability. I joined this forum as I thought and still continue to think that this is a great resource for people to be able to help one another and offer support .

It is my first ad, as well as first time on this site. I also don't stare at my computer 24 hours a day waiting for replies, so my apologies for not answering some of the questions. I am in Daytona Beach and can arrange shipping anywhere. I'm asking 25000. It's a converitble. Maybe someone can tell me how to post pics so I don't annoy anybody else?

Also, if anybody wants to check out some photos in the meantime, they can be found on Daytona Beach craigslist. Just search for 1969 442 convertible.

Cornsleeve, here is some friendly advice. If you are going to come on here or any website for that matter to try to sell a vehicle it is up to YOU to do the work to get as much information out to the target audience as possible. You should start off by describing the car to the best of your ability. Post some pics (very easy on this particular site), an asking price and a location in your FIRST post. Also if you want to redirect people to your craigslist ad it would be wise to copy and paste the URL into your post instead of telling people to "search Daytona craigslist". I guarantee if you do as I have advised you will generate much more interest in your car.

Look at it as if you yourself were a potential buyer. Which ad are you most likely to respond to, one as I have advised above or "I have a car for sale, contact me for more info"?

I am not very computer savvy so dragging and pasting is not an option. I only suggested craigslist for anyone curious enough to check it out while I figure out how to post pics on this website. I only "put it out there" on this site because I figured some Olds enthusiast might be interested. Maybe someone can help me to post some pics instead of just telling me how easy it is?

Not sure, but I think this is the ad. Maybe we need to update the classified sticky at the top of the page.

PICS 101

When you reply make sure you are in “Advanced” If it says post a “Quick reply” hit “Advanced”

Scroll down below the box you type in and hit “Manage Attachments” A new box will pop up.

Hit “Browse”

The hit “Upload” and wait a few secs for the pics to up load. Then close this box.
Next you can hit “Preview Post” and your pictures should be there.

There is a size limit on pics

If you have the pics saved to your computer then hit "go advanced" tab which will be on the bottom of thread.
From there go to manage attachments hit that and you can pull your pics up.

One teensy bit of savvy you might want to pick up is how to copy the URL from the page when you are looking at your CL ad, then alt-tab [or alt-1, alt-2, etc., if your internet places opened are different tabs in the same browser] over to your other window with ClassicOldsmobile.com open, and control-V paste that url into the message you are composing there.

For example, here is a link to another web site

https://classicoldsmobile.com/forums...ce-needed.html

I just copied it from that page's line way at the top where it says "http-blah-blah-blah" then came here and ctrl-v pasted it in. Voila. Savvy.

Learn a new trick every day and in no time you will be snatchchapping with all your friends.

PS your car deserves a LOT better description!!!
WOW
