Dean, 3:42s had nothing to do with export. They we available on all of the W31s. See the attached bulletin.

For what it's worth, I don't consider cars destined to Canada as being "Export."

If you look in the Mopar world, their sales info is designated US, Canadian, and Export. Canada had the same sales channels as that in the US.

Beautiful car. I wish I could buy yours and abandon my RamRod clone project. I love the color combo. You never see blue interior and especially that standard three spoke wheel. Very cool.

I was going to assert in jest that it's "not a W31" [because they called that pkg "Ram Rod" initially].... but I see the paperwork does indeed list it as having option W31.

Cool. Nice attention to detail.

Gorgeous ! I hope you are selling because you want to and not because you need to. Very fine example of a seldom seen car!

Thanks Erik, not selling because I have to,I really love the car.I was just presented with a offer on something else that prompted me to put this car up for sale.If it doesn't sell I will keep it and be very happy with it, I was after this car for years and was finally lucky to get it,I should be happy and I am, but I have the Oldsmobile disease always wanting more

One of my ALL-TIME Favorites!!!! Believe it or not, I like'68s better than '69s and I have one (avatar pic). Extremely cool and under-appreciated car. A test drive should sell that car; you can really embarrass some Big Block Chevelle and Camaro people when all they see are your taillights!!! I'm gonna follow this thread and hope you get whatever it is that will replace the '31. Inquiring minds want to know................

Simply OUTSTANDING!

good luck with the sale, it would be difficult to give up a car like that.

got any extra blue mats?

I, too, wonder what it would be that will be replacing it?

I am making a serious offer of $38,000, as I have cash in hand. Please pm me as I am leaving Friday to go to Mich. and then to the Dick Miller Olds Nats. in Norwalk and then to the OCA Nats. in Cincinnati Ohio. I will be racing my drag car in the Midwest till Oct. I would need you to store the car till Oct/Nov when I could come pick it up.

Regardless good luck with the sale. I would love to bring this car back north of the border but just can't make it happen at this time.

Sent more pics to Dave and never heard back so I assumed he was no longer interested. I am giving it the one run on eBay for the lower price if it does not sell, then it stays with me and my other plans will change.

Looks like Dave may have had extensive travel plans ahead of him, he may have just missed your PM. Regardless, sweet car. Things I find interesting is the bench/floor shifter combo, and lack of a fan shroud (but clutch fan). Just trying to make sense of that last one, seems a W31 would need all the cooling it could get. My 'lil 'ol 350-2bbl non-A/C car came w/ a fan shroud, but a plain old bolted-on 4-blade fan. Maybe the clutch fan was more effective than a shroud, and if GM had to pick one to put on the W31s to save $$.......??

RamRod's had 4 core radiators, but no shroud for some reasonThey also didn't have rear sway bars and you would think they would have. Lot's of people added them later.Thank you for the nice words about my car. If someone steps up on this car I'm confident they will be pleased with it.There aren't all that many around with this documentation. I know I will definitely miss this car if it sells
