It says original paint and stripes but the stripe around the back window doesn't look likethe others I've seen. Are they correct?

Randy, chrome bumpers are possible, as these cars weren't flying out of the dealer's lots back then. Dealers were swapping to the chrome bumpers in hopes to make them more sale-able!

This is a deal that the big block doesn't make it more valuable.
I wouldn't have one without the painted bumpers.
I don't see and aftermarket intake either.
I say the car is not even a Ralley350.

He said it was a W30 replica intake so it will appear to be stock.

So, if one is converted to chrome bumpers, before sale, by dealer, is that "correct" for that car?

Koda I would say no. He didnt have any paperwork that said it was done by dealer that I can remember And yes I would remember that and it would have made it much more interesting to me if he did. The tag was a - - tag . I did find it funny that the test car in the car life may 1970 road test Had White wall tires and Trim rings. I Think that olds new people would add Trim rings on there dime latter ? . He said he had the rear stripe painted on the back of the car I could not get out of him if it had the factory stripe and the black or just the black stripe? I still like by the way its on ebay right now also.

I wouldn't want one with chrome bumpers. That yellow rear bumper with the vertical tail lights framed in black is the best part of the whole car. I missed buying a running/driving one locally when I graduated from high school in 1987 for $2500. I took my uncle with me and he picked it apart because it wasn't like new. The Rallye 350 has always been "the one that got away". I still hope to someday get one. I recently found out where the one from 1987 is, so who knows....

IMHO I would feel the reason they didnt have the trim rings was because they were getting away from the "shininess" and give it that more "sporty" look. Good part on them as i am not a fan of the trim rings or those goofy things that go in around the holes
