69 442 convertible 57,300 original miles

This car is a single family owned car. It runs and drives very well and everything works. To the best i can tell, it is original paint everywhere other than the passenger side front fender. It matches very well and can only tell it was repainted by some over spray in a couple small spots under the hood. There is a small rip close to 3 inches long in the top. some little dings here and there but a very nice original unmolested car. Automatic console car, power steering and brakes. No rust. $25,000

How can the "Oldsmobile" be upside down on the steering wheel when the wheel itself is right side up?

Eric,
Do you have any more pictures of the interior?

i thought i had better pictures than i do. i will post more tonight. i have one of the rip in the top and a couple from under the hood. under the hood and under the car would need a cosmetic restoration. everything is there and correct but could look better.

The steering wheel is upside down so the Oldsmbile script is correct as it sits. The front wheels are turned to the right which is why the wheel is turned. The flat suection on the center of the wheel is the top.

Or... if the tires are straight, then it may be a 1970 wheel, as they are identical to a '69 except rotated 180*.

The 69 and 70 wheel is opposite of each other? Boy wouldn't that mess with someone who had a 69 and then traded it on a 70.

Yes the flat part on the 70 wheel is on the bottom.

Nice car, though.

I recall thinking I saw some weird steering wheel stuff on 69/70 cars in the past & ended up chalking it up to my going crazy.

Mystery solved I guess.

PS -

Love the red interior !.

But there was no red interior color in 1970 so it had to be a 1969 wheel.

On the left is my '69 wheel, the right my buddies '70 wheel, also note the Rocket emblem on the '70. The only thing that I can figure is that at one time the "Oldsmobile" insert was replaced with a '70 stlye, hence it being upside down when the wheel is upright.
