Hey guys, my 442 is finally mostly done, and I have to sell it. I hate to do it, but I have no choice.

Wow, that's a lotta work into that car for the money you're asking. Couldn't do it again for twice that.
BTW, have you ever considered using full wheel covers instead of the dog dishes? I know that's probably not the look you're going for, but most of the 442's I remember back in the day actually had wheel covers (unlike today). The 68 deluxe covers and wire covers are both some of the better looking factory units.

You know, I actually do like the full wheel covers. You just don't seem 'em that often. However, I figure I'll leave it up to the new owner as to what direction they want to take it. Thanks for the suggestion tho. It's a good one.

 

Tom, I want to thank and commend you for your honest description of your re-body and how you left the tags as it. That is exactly how one should do it, and you serve as a good example to all. And that's a real rarity for an E-bay car.
I hope you get top dollar for it.

Jim, I tend to not like giving out the reserve price this early in the auction, but if you look at the link for the previous auction, the high bid wasn't too far off from the reserve price.

If I am looking correctly, the high bid was just under $13M?

I currently have a restored '68 442 convertible (4-speed), but I really prefer the solid roof (I realize this is a contrary view).
