My 1970 Cutlass SX - (Olathe, KS)

I recently picked up another project, a 1968 Cutlass Convertible. I need to make room in my garage so I'm going to sell my first Oldsmobile. Up for sale is my loaded 1970 Cutlass SX. This car is in great shape and only needs interior work. This is a numbers matching car with no rust. I've documented everything ever done to this car on my Oldsmobile website. Almost everything in this car is original and being an SX, would be a great collector car or muscle cruiser.

Car Information

This is a numbers matching car. The original 455 was rebuilt about 2,XXX miles ago. There was new paint applied about 2 years ago along with the installation of a new vinyl top. This car has had 3 owners. Since I have had it, it has been garage kept, driven around once a week. It has never been driven in the rain or snow. Below is more detail on the car.

Cowl Tag Information:
ST = Style (on all cowl tags)
70 = 1970 Model Year
3 = Oldsmobile
42 = Cutlass Supreme
57 = Holiday Coupe
LAN = Assembled in Lansing
211586 = sequence number
TR = Trim (on all cowl tags)
984 = Gold cloth bench seat
55 = Lower Body: Galleon Gold
H = Gold Vinyl Top
08D = Manufactured in fourth week of August 1969
B85 = Exterior Belt Molding

Features
Power Windows
Power Locks (not working)
8track player (not working)
AM/FM (powers, but no sound... speakers?)
Cruise Control (not working yet)
Original 455 Engine
Original 2 barrel carb
Matching Numbers
Power Seating
442 Grill
Sports Steering Wheel

Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust.
Tires with less then 2,XXX miles on them, very good shape.

Also Included
With the purchase of the car you will also receive all my extra 1970 Cutlass parts. You can view them all here.

Work I've done on the car
NOTE: On any part I've had to replace, I kept the original part in case a new owner wanted to keep everything original and rebuild them.

Installed the 2.5" American Thunder Exhaust

Replaced the water pump

Replaced the master cylinder and bled the breaks

Installed sports steering wheel

Changed fuel filter

Buyer that was going to come just gave me the "wife won't let him". Forced to put it on feebay. If anyone here is interested and has an offer, let me know. I'd rather sell it to someone on the site.

Great looking car, bro. If I was a wealthy man, I'd jump on it. Someday.

Hey - what a pretty car! I just bought mine and it does not look that good.
I am trying to put together a database of SX buildsheets for 1970 - do you have one for this baby? If so can you send it to me?
Thanks, Peter

Nice looking SX! Had I not just purchased a gold SX convertible, I would be interested. Your asking price certainly seems more than fair. Good luck.

Very nice looking car! I think your pics have inspired me to swap a set of whitewalls onto some SSIs for my '70 SX ragtop... May I ask where the car came from previously?

It came from an area a little farther south, but still in Kansas and has been in this region for a long time. A good 15 years just in a barn.

But now its going to a new home in the east... car is sold... its good news but bad news haha
