65’ 442 spotted on Copart

I was browsing Copart and came across a nice 65’ 442 coming up for auction 3/3/21 in North Charleston, SC. Has was looks like
some minor fire damage under the hood. Motor looks original, automatic car, nice paint and interior current bid is $5200. I tried to bid on it but need a broker so I opted for a refund. Maybe someone here has interest and can bid. Good luck and happy motoring in an Oldsmobile!

I tried buying a car that way...what a pain. The registration, broker fees, and bidding was out of control. The reflected sold price was about 3 times market when you figured in all the fees. Funny thing about it the owner had been trying to sell it unwrecked for several years at third the price the so called auction closed at.

Something seems weird. Why wouldn't the owner get that fixed? Why would they total out the car for the small engine fire? I'll bet there is more to the story, flood? Underneath damage? As stated earlier by someone, I think Copart is way overpriced. I paid all their fees and deposits to bid on a 10 year old F150 with damage to the drivers side extended cab door..It sold for more than I ended up paying for a non-wrecked truck from a private owner. I got back my deposits and never looked there again. I hope someone will post what this 442 ends up selling for.

It went for $20,600 to someone in Michigan.
