72 Cutlass Supreme Convertible - 1 owner

For those of you who don't know me on my short time on this forum, I started rebuilding my fathers 72 Cutlass Supreme convertible in the beginning of May. The goal was to surprise him before his health fails him. Unfortunately, his health is declining way faster than I can work on the car. I regretfully am trying to sell it. I need to focus more on taking care of my Dad and just don't have enough time left over to sneak around to fix it.

The basics are 72 w/403 TH350 and 3.23 posi.

I have probably 99% of the parts and extras of a few. Main needs are body finished and new top and windshield.

I have probably 5K worth of new parts, including front and rear bumpers, fender, 2 quarter skins, deck lid,

1 pc trunk pan, new door handles in and out, rear shocks and spring installed, front shocks and springs in boxes, 2 sets of window felts NIB, all new seals and weather stripping, new master cylinder installed, new brakes on all 4 corners, etc.

The car runs strong and stops!

I have original manuals and ID card. I can't find the original BoS yet, still looking in some of Dad's hiding spots. (Found lots of old Playboys...lol).

As the car sits now, the dog house, doors, are all taken off. 1 fender, both doors and hood have been taken down to bare metal, sealed, and primed.

There is so many parts, I have (3) 55 gallon bins filled, plus parts in my attic, and parts at my business. I am sure I am forgetting something. Oh, and yes, I have all of the chrome, stainless, etc. Everything was bagged and tagged, but when it was in storage since 1984, some rodents got into it and destroyed the notes.

I'm not sure what a fair price would be on this car and not all of the pictures are current. I'm hoping I could get 6K for everything.

Hate to hear of your Dad's declining health. You are to be commended for putting your focus on taking care of him. Good luck on the sale.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, it's never easy.

Where are you located? That is a definite pick up an haul. I have a friend in NY who's looking to get a project for him and his son to work on when he gets home from college.

I live outside of Chicago. About 45minutes to 1 hour from downtown in Indiana.

Maybe take some pictures of the new parts and post them. Can't hurt.

These are new parts that I bought. Some of it is NOS some is aftermarket. There is some vinyl dye, engine block paint. etc. The car has all of the original chrome and stainless, except one wheel piece, which maybe here, but I haven't uncovered it.

The car is still available. Waiting on new title. The original title had both of my parents SSN. I thought that it might be better to get an updated title. New title is supposed to be here any day now. I still have the original, but it is stamped VOID on it from the BMV and the SSN are blacked out.

UPDATE - The car has been sold. I really appreciate this forums members and support. The person who bought the car has promised to advise me of his progress. I am really happy to see my Dad's old car go to a good home.
