For sale by owner:1970 Cutlass S
I have decided to call it quits. I have owned many nice Oldsmobiles, never worked on any with my hands, always counted on others. So, I really never felt like I truly belonged. Despite this, Olds were the 1st muscle car I ever bought and I figure it to be the last. Back, neck and 2 hip replacements have knocked me out of the saddle.
So, I have a driver quality 1970 Cutlass. And it drives exceptionally well.
Per the previous owner, the following has been done.
Transmission rebuilt, no receipts.
Replace rear end pinon seal
Replace rear end cover seal
Rear end springs and shocks Monroe Sensa track
Rear Bushings Moog
Front bushings/ball joints Moog
Front springs and shocks Monroe Sensa
Front brakes from drum to disc
Coolant recovery
Mostly new interior
Hush mat/carpet
A/c car
I also have a 70-72 big block that has been "rough bored", plus heads, intake, crank.
Will come with car cover and shop manuals and some other Olds memorabilia I have collected over the years.
I will do my best to post photos, I am computer challenged.
The paint is pearl, interior is gold.
There are some spots that need attention if you want to make it more than driver. I have photos of that too. Mainly trunk lid. My body guy quoted me 1200.
I also have NOS Cutlass emblems as wel as after market 442 emblems.
10k firm. If that is not fair, I'll find out sooner than later. I have owned some super fine ones, so I believe I am close to the right money.
Car leaves my garage with cash or cleared bank money. Not just presentation of cashier's check.
I do not understand PM and other stuff I see on these sights.
I can give my phone number if you are serious about wanting my car and the things that come with it.

Good luck with the sale & sorry you are leaving the hobby. Looks to be a nice car.
Word of caution on bank checks. There is word of counterfeit bank checks clearing & taking up to a month for the paying institution to recall the funds. Just because you see it post to your account that doesn't mean its legit. If someone want to give you a bank check tell them to do a wire transfer.
Also, I am on my 2nd 442 and fourth Classic Oldsmobile. On my 3rd classic since I re-entered the hobby. I do what I can but don't have all the time or skills in the world plus a garage that is so small I can't do any real work in it. It is what it is & I don't think it makes me enjoy my car any less knowing I didn't paint it or swing the motor in.

Good afternoon Your Honor!
You may not remember me, but my Dad and I stopped by and picked up some parts you had back in 2011-12 on the way back from Chicago with a blue convertible on a trailer. If I recall correctly, you had a very nice Chevelle in your garage as well.
I am sorry to see you sell the Cutlass. Didn't you also have a convertible at one time?
Give me a call if you have time. Would love to reconnect!

I am not sure what you are seeing on the tail lights. The passenger side appear to be original, the driver side appear to be much newer. Could you be referring to the bubbling of the paint above the right taillight? If so, that is an area I mentioned would need to be addressed should someone wants to take the car to a different level.

Thanks Bill,
Yes, I have had some nice Chevelles too; but mostly Oldsmobiles. And yes a bunch of convertibles. It's a disease you know.
You can see a bunch of them in my profile.

I see, I see. And mine are the abbynormal...
Beats the socks off of me! Could it be camera angle? I tried to post some more pictures but it would not take. I will try again.

My tail lights did that once. Muffler man got the tail pipe too far up behind the bumper and it cooked them. Nice guy that he was bought me a pair of new ones. This was in the 80s when you could get new stuff for a 70 at the dealer.
