Sad situation but at least he was okay with just some bumps and bruises.
Hope someone can restore the car. The front ends and frames are replacable...........

If you find a buyer in Calif, I may be parting out my 1970 vista cruiser with a nice complete front end 1970 fenders and it even has a aftermarket ram air hood that bolts to the hinges and nice bumper. Most of the stuff to fix the car. I have been unable to sell it so the parts are worth more than the whole since I now need some of the parts for my other VC 1971 5 speed stick car.

I've driven that car in snow and ice and have never had anything so unpredictable as that road on Oct 3rd when it was raining.

Ouch! That looks bad Randy, but as Rob said the bottom line is your OK. It hurts to see what was a nice car smashed up, but it can be fixed or replaced. If you can't sell it for what you want, and decide to rebuild it I'm sure you can find most if not all parts right here on CO. I've got to be 700+ miles away, but I could probably come up with 80% of what you need. Between Lee and I we may have 90% of what it would take! There's at least half a dozen other members with piles of spare parts too.

But if you decide to move on I hope you come up with another Oldsmobile to drive. With the economy the way it is, that may be easy to do. In fact the hard part might be deciding which car to buy. John

Shame this happened. Glad you're okay. If this car was on the east coast, It'd seriously consider using everything off of my 72 cutlass s (minus grilles, bumpers, etc) to rebuild this.

I think if I had a good garage it would be parted by now. I really hate to think that's where it's headed, but it's sitting in my Aunt and Uncles driveway right now and I have to get it out of there.

Whats up with that wagon? I am looking for one, or even parts... Did you have an ad for it for sale?

If it is at all possible you should keep it man, terrible what happened, at least youre alright. In the end though, this isnt just any 442, its your 442. One of a kind just because of everything youve put into it, physically and emotionally. I know any owner would have this baby shining like new eventually and would make it an awesome driver, hope that gets to be you. Either way, sale or resto, good luck man

Thanks, but I just don't have the resources or the space to keep and fix it. It HAS to go.

Heartbreaking pictures of that poor car.

I bought my cutlass and fixed it after it had been hit in the front. It was not as hard of a hit and the frame survived. Good luck with the sale and I hope somebody rescues and fixes it. I sure wish I could.
