Hey all
I made a post when he had this car on ebay and we all discussed his price was high for the car and the state of our economy. He has it listed on Craigslist at $40,000 which is still a lot of money. But if anybody is looking for an exceptionally clean car you might consider making him a fair offer. I would guess he's in his late 50's and his mother bought this car new. So it's just been owned by he and his Mom. It's got a 455 TH400, I believe the OAI hood is factory but don't know if the W30 intake is. Its not a W30 car but a factory 455 442. The pictures in the ad have lousy lighting, it's the correct factory Viking Blue with white bucket seats. You can read through his ad and see what he's done to it. I've seen it in person and he did a good job, no surprises. If anybody were seriously interested I can contact him and get more photos and answers of any questions for you. John

I agree that $40,000 is high, and his ad doesn't say he's considering offers. But I'd hope that if someone came along who was looking for a car like this and made a serious offer maybe the seller and buyer could agree on a price they could both live with. John

I'd say you're right on!

The Old Cars Price Guide puts the value of a #2 condition '72 Cutlass S 2-door hardtop with the 4-4-2 option at just under $24,000. In #1 condition, the value is listed at $34,000.
