I'm seeing the blue interior. I had an 83 Regency Brougham - same color but the upscale version of this car. The upholstery on the 1980 should look something like this, unless the leather package was ordered. I don't think blue leather was available though.

Anytime Brett. Those are wonderful riding cars and super quiet. Too bad the standard engine was the 307. In 1980 this car could still be ordered with the optional 350 4bbl though. Do you know what engine it has? That could definitely be a selling feature. I'm pretty sure the 1980 only had a 3 speed transmission.

Brett, I believe you're right. R code is rated as 160hp with 4bbl carb. CR is 8.5:1
I bet the interior pics will be sweet. The major difference between the Regency and Regency Brougham was upholstery and exterior trim (like the electroluminescent B pillar lights). I think the woodgrain pattern around the dash and side faux wood was also a bit different. Both cars will ride the same and be elegantly quiet. As I said before - a pleasure to drive.
Hey! while you're checking the car this weekend look for a posi tag on the pumpkin. Mine was posi even though I didn't know it at the time!

Brett: I don't know if my brother (bobthiry) asked you for the location of the car, he's interested in it, not sure how he asked, (PM or post) know he told me he didn't get a reply after asking so he could come and see it. He may have not sent you the request correctly, so you may have not received it. I sent him the link to this car upfront.

Thanks for reaching out Mark, I didn't get any further replys or PM's from him, but its all good. Its currently located in Michigan, west of Cadillac. My friends (owner) are there this weekend and are planning on taking photos of everything to showcase. It shows to be about 400 mile from Richfield OH to there. I will PM you my contact info to help. Thanks again

Brett, Thank you for the reply and PM, It's a little farther away than Bob is wanting to travel, he lives another 70 miles east of me, so he would be closer to 500 miles away. It is a really nice car, did your friend take pictures of the interior last weekend?

PS. Allan they told me they didn't see any tag on the Differential cover, but as noted pics will be forthcoming. Thx

The car looks overall very nice Brett. The headliner is certainly one of those things that will affect the sale - it might be a good idea to get it glued back in place?
I never realized before that the Regency didn't have the extra lower rocker panel/door/wheel skirt stainless that the Regency Brougham had. I knew it didn't have electroluminescent B pillar lights though. The body of the car looks very solid. Very minor dent on the RS rear sail panel trim? Was the car damaged on the RR, reason I ask is the bumper filler appears to have come loose?
I love these land yachts. Where's the pic of the engine compartment ?

I really love the way my iPhone assists me in maintaining my uneducated image...Allan, they sent me 20 or so pic's, I will attach everything I have, I agree the headliner might be a good idea, however its a relatively 'known' cost, whichever the owners don't want to put more than they need to in this, or the other 10-12 cars (I cannot recall how many are left). And the prices are right where they feel (and I agree) fair to move them. Thank you for the candor though, its appreciated.
