These stories keep coming up here...it makes me hesitant to use eBay or any other on line auction places. I think, when possible I will keep my handshake method....seems to work the best.
I actually paid for a car part with a normal cheque the other day.....felt good that somebody I do not know put their trust in me as a purchaser....
