1964 Oldsmobile Cutlass pickup truck. This truck was built by Holiday Oldsmobile in Minnesota as an engineering exercise to try to get G.M. to allow Oldsmobile Division to build a truck to compete with the Chevy El Camino and the G.M.C. Jimmy. It started as a 1964 Cutlass 2dr. hdt. and was modified with a boxed area to replace the trunk. From the doors forward it is stock 1964 Cutlass. It is titled in Michigan as an Oldsmobile pickup truck. It's known as the "El Cutlass" and has won many awards in shows all over Michigan. This is not a trailer King I drive it when I can.

It retains the stock 1964 330c.i. engine and 2sp. transmission. Paint is Yellow with old school custom front fender flames. The engine bay is painted to match the exterior. Pickup box is wood trimmed with chrome rails on top of the quarters. Interior has stock '64 Cutlass dash, bucket seats, custom wood trimmed console. 14in. chrome reversed wheels with baby moon center caps. Engine rebuilt after many years in storage. Valve job, new cam, lifters, pushrods. Dr. Oldmobile Ram-Air induction system, Getting old and I'm thinning the herd. Can't drive 'em all.”

Too bad somebody took a car that unique and screwed it up like that. That is just my opinion. Some of you guys may like it and that is okay.

Careful. Opinions are frowned upon.

I do dig that it was done years ago. El Camino's don't get the love they deserve. I have seen the 70 442 Elkie's that have been made. I love them personally.

The car was built that way many, many years ago. I have seen the car and know the owner.

I like that.

Someday, I'd like to take a 4 door 67 Cutlass, a 2 door Cutlass, a flat top wagon, and the relevant parts from an El Camino as needed and make a 2 door with the 4 door's front doors, the 2 door's quarter windows, one of their back glasses and sail panels, the bed from the El Camino and front bulkhead, quarters from the wagon buzzed off and filled at the window sills, and the tailgate and bumper off the wagon. El Machete.

Can it fit 4' wide plywood/drywall between the wheel wells?
