FS: 1965 Olds Vista Cruiser Deluxe 6 Pass L-74

---SOLD---

After a lot of thought and no longer having storage for my Vista, I've decided to sell.
1965 Vista Cruiser Custom Deluxe 6 passenger wagon, the rarer of the two models (6 and 9 passenger), in Mojave mist with matching interior. The engine is the optional L-74 Cutlass 315 HP V8 engine with factory 4 barrel, heavy duty transmission, equipped with factory A/C and 4 core radiator. Since it was built in Freemont, California, it also has California emissions (PCV system).
It also has factory front and rear deluxe seat belts, power rear window, power windows, tinted glass, dash clock, courtesy and glove box lights, AM radio, locking rear compartment, carpeted cargo area and 1/3 - 2/3 split rear seat. I am selling it with both the Cragar wheels with good tires and original wheels with almost new tires and full wheel covers.
The car was owned by a 99 year old lady who was the second owner in Pheonix, Arizona, she purchased it from a 85 year old man 25+ years ago who ordered it new, I bought it from her 70 year old son in Pheonix, Arizona in October 2010.
It was repainted years ago over the factory paint and a rust free body, paint still looks good. Interior was all original when I got it, but needed attention. I have since purchased all NOS seat material and had the front and rear seats redone. I have new carpets, headliner, extra carpet for the rear cargo area and the expensive original material to line the rear storage compartment.
The car is extremely clean and the frame still has black paint on it in areas. All the brake and fuel lines are mint. No undercoating and no rust anywhere ever, not even much for desert surface rust.
I've done all new brakes (master, wheel cylinders, shoes, spring kits, flex hoses) and blasted/painted the original drums. 4 new shocks, 1 1/4" front sway bar and all new front end bushings, ball joints, inner and outer tie rods and center link. I also have all new Vista emblems, radiator hoses, water pump, NOS parts and a bunch of other new and rare NOS parts to complete the car.

It's currently registered and insured runs great and is drivable. Items that need completion:

1. Headliner installed
2. Carpets installed
3. Front end alignment
4. A/C clutch installed and recharged
5. Brake booster rebuilt (leaks vacuum)

The car is currently in storage, so the pictures below are not up to date and I have only a few interior pics, but the car hasn't changed any besides removing the carpet and seats. I will be happy to get additional pictures for any serious buyers. There are other forum members who have seen and driven the car who can vouch for its condition.

I'm looking to get $8500 as is, I have way more invested, but winter is almost here. Please feel free to IM or call me for more info (860) 416-6287

Somebody will be getting a great ride for not a lot of money...the car does run great and moves out nice with the high comp 330. Wish I didn't love my color combo so much Rob. You should make time to go down and get pics of the seats and post here. They really look beautiful.

Thanks Eric! I will be trying to get down to the storage area tomorrow to get more pictures. The seats did come out great, new foam and all!

Seems to be that when you are in the market, you won't be able to find a car you want and when you aren't, there are plenty you would buy.

Added pictures of the new seats. They haven't been out in the sun yet, so there are a few installations wrinkles in them.

No rush here at all, if it sells, great, if not, I'll just have to pay for more storage.

Looks Verrry nice! A/C and the high perf 330 must be kind of rare.
That's one super solid and sporty wagon.

Rob, thats a fine looking car, good luck with selling. Would you mind letting me know the tire and rim size on your Vista?
Such as: (215/70-15's on 15x6 rims) I have the same car and I like the look.
Thanks, Brad.

Hi Brad,

The Cragars are 15x7's (I believe), front tires 215/65/15 and rears 235/60/15. All fit nice with no rubbing, ran them on my 442.
