Ebay ad for a 70 vista cruiser

http://motors.shop.ebay.com/Cars-Tru...c0.m282&_rdc=1

Sweet *** vista cruiser I just saw on ebay! In the description he says there were not a skylight on the 71-76 models....I thought they were still using skylights until about 73....please weigh in because I am looking for a cruiser that has the clam shell tailgate with all the windows?

The raised-roof Vista Cruisers were made from 1964 through 1972. The Vista Cruiser name was used through 1977 on the Cutlass-based wagon, but it did not have a raised roof. I think they could have been had with a sunroof.

Starting in '78, the Cutlass-based wagon was called the Cutlass Cruiser, and that name was used right up the end of production of Cutlass-based wagons in 1996. With production of the Custom Cruiser ending in 1992, beginning in 1997 and through to the end of Olds production in 2004, Olds made no traditional station wagons. Of course, by then, they were producing a minivan, the Silhouette, which first appeared in 1990, and an SUV, the Bravada, which first appeared in 1991.

There, that's probably a lot more than you wanted to know!

beautiful car and nicely done, not sure you could do all of that for much less but it still seems a bit high priced

Pretty nice but a bit over priced. Good color schemes but I'd lose the dash and steering wheel covers and underdash gauges.
If it had a nice engine compartment and PW and PL and cruise, EDIT - and repro Rally pac and working AC, it would be almost be worth his asking price IMO.

I agree. For the amount of money spent on detailing the outside and inside of the car, why not do the engine bay? There were also no shots of the underside.

Is it just me or does anyone know why you would install a factory console / bucket seats but have a column shift? The top console plate has been completely blocked off - not even good for holding a coffee cup. That seemed kind of retarded to me.

I love the green color, but would like it better if it had the wood grain applique. A 442 VC? Didn't think they made them as we discussed on some previous threads

Oh well, a clone and his money will soon be parted.

You gotta start some where ( console ? ) must have just run out of time money or gumption to finish. Would have to see the color combo together but the stripe color to me not sure if it would work.
