Nice shape, reasonable asking price, but this bothers me:

New Gas tank was relocated to the trunk. I could not find an aftermarket replacement for the old tank.

Wow. Would that even pass inspection in areas that have an inspection? That's certainly nowhere near as safe as when the tank is in its proper location.

No, it would not. Here in VA, cars with antique plates do not require safety inspections. Stuff like this makes you wonder about whether or not that's a good idea. Plus, that looks like a only 12-14 gal tank.

It seems to have the rare factory cruise control.

The price seems very reasonable and I love the color combo. That could be a really nice but I don't think I would drive it around the block with that gas tank. The guy has to be several bricks short of a full load. And then he makes the comment that this car would make a great lowrider. What a bonehead. Hopefully somebody buys it and takes it restores it.

In fairness to the seller, I would never alienate any potential buyer. Once cash changes hands, it's no longer my concern. The gas tank is an easy fix. This car is only about 90 minutes from me. I think I need an intervention!

I guess I don't see where I am trying to alienate a potential buyer after I complimented the color and said the price is reasonable. With the gas tank in the trunk and possible buildup of fumes this thing could be a bomb. But that is just my opinion. I sure as hell wouldn't drive it.

Outside of the tank being a bit unsightly in the trunk, there is no difference than using this:

Eric, I would trust that fuel cell that was designed to me installed in a trunk a lot more than I would a gas tank that was designed to be mounted outside the car. But maybe that is just me. It is all a moot point since the car is sold.

Mustang tank. It's actually meant to be BOTH inside and out. Supposed to cut a hole in the trunk floor and mount it with the holes you see drilled around the lip.

That cell looks good for about one lap around the fairgrounds in one's Pro Street car.

The term "pro street" makes me laugh. I understand what it means, but it makes me want to thump my chest twice, say "yeh yeah" afterwards, and flash a Crips sign.

I actually prefer the term "Pro Fairgrounds" since these cars rarely run on the street.

Joe,
you need another Jetstar88 convertible. 1 just insn't enough. I'll haul mine to Carlisle and make you a great offer. Or if it's a '64 dynamic everyone wants, I've got them growing out of the weeds.
