Was looking at that the other day. Code 53 - nugget gold if I'm not mistaken. Could it possibly be a three speed car? (not a 70 expert)

Neat car, gonna be an ambitious project for somebody.

Has no title and the VIN plate appears to have come from another car!

What makes you say that? The first part of the VIN matches the data plate and is correct for that body style car.

Also that VIN plate doesn't appear to have ever been tampered with to me.
