Love it. That's the way to buy those '79 H/Os - as nice and clean as possible.

I guess I can let the cat out of the bag. Tom, thanks for posting the ad for this 79 HO and I too thought it was a really nice car so I bought it. I have a brother in Denver and he was able to check it out for me. Just need to arrange the transportation to get it to MD.

Thanks Eric and Tom. I can't say I was actively looking for a 79 HO but when I saw this one with 38K miles on it and heavily optioned it was too good to not go after it. The factory electric sunroof is a very rare option too.

Thanks and yes, I did previously own a 79 HO. I bought it from Hurst in March of 1981 when I worked there from 81-84 and it was used mostly as Linda Vaughn's promotional car. It actually was sold to me by the dealer down the street from Hurst as the guy who was in charge of the cars at Hurst was told I was buying the car from the company but he turned around and sold it to the dealer. Unfortunately, that move cost him his job. The car has gold anodized T-tops of which Hurst made 4 sets but only installed 3. The one I had was the only white/gold one that received them and the other 2 went into black/gold cars. Since I had to get it from the dealer, Hurst gave me the 4th set still in the box and those tops stayed with the car. I sold it in 1990 to a guy who sold it to Gene (bluecalais79) in 1996. I found Gene through an Ad in JWO as he was looking for parts and all I knew was the car went to CT. Since the ad in JWO was for a CT person, I called and sure enough it was the person who had my old car. We chatted for several years and in 2004 Gene sent me the car to restore for him. And those NOS gold tops were installed as part of the restoration. It was completed in 2006 and was featured in the December 2006 edition of Hemmings Muscle Machine Magazines. Here is a link to the article. Gene still owns the car.

Looks worth the money as a car without any consideration that it's special.
What a great buy, good for you Brian!

Can you share the company name? Just curious if I would know it.

I forgot to mention one other fact that I thought was interesting. Want to guess what the mileage was on my first 79 HO when I acquired it? Yep, 38K.
