Apparently not at that price. The Old Cars Price Guide shows the value of one of these in #4 condition (runs and drives but needs total restoration) at $800. In #3 condition ("showroom"), the value given is $1800. Your car is probably somewhere between given the new parts you've installed but considering the poor state of the interior and paint.

I'm not saying you have to accept these values or anything like that. But if these are any indication of where the market is on your car, then your asking price is about double what it's worth. There is only a limited market for these even under the best of circumstances. Plus, you posted your ad only a week ago, and that week included Thanksgiving, when a lot of people are traveling and away from their computers. Gotta give it a little time to get noticed.

Good luck.

There's a lot of fallacy here in your logic.

As I said, wagons usually have a pretty limited appeal, so desirability is not high, and it's got a lot of issues regarding condition. If rarity was all that mattered, then all the 4-door Cutlasses would be worth more than the convertibles and coupes as there are far fewer 4-doors around nowadays. But they're not worth more.

they have all started out at more then mine
Who cares what they start at? It's what they SELL for that matters. Show us a car like yours that sold for $2500, and you've got a case. Otherwise, it's nothing.

Hey, we all can point to references that support our case. Show me one of these that sold for $10,550, or even $3,450, and I'll eat my hat!

Good luck. I hope you get what you're asking for.

I agree completely. If he gets what he wants for it, that helps us all in the old car hobby. But one has to be realistic, especially in the current economy.

Yes, but almost a full year after you initially posted it for sale. What did you get for it?
