Pending makes sense. You came across a solid carcass for a good price. Interestingly I never closed the original listing so I have both the pending and non pending links still up.
Looks like a good solid candidate for an engine swap, ad feels sincere. Condition backs it up. Underhood is clean for a 50 year old driver. Car was in the right hands.
