Wow, that is nice! Was black a factory option in '72? I don't remember ever seeing one. I think I might have to go with black on the vinyl top though....looks a little like a police car to me.

Probably really clean being from CA.

Code 19 Ebony Black was not offered for any of the GM A Bodies in 1972 - weird or what. Having said that, the factory would allow a customer order or dealer order to have Code 19 at 'extra cost', and the cowl tag may or may not have the 19 19 on it. It could also have - - indicating extra cost paint not offered as standard color choice for the model year.

I read on another thread that the extra cost paint could be from any of the GM brands and any color palette being offered that year.

Allan if you could get it approved, you could have any color by any make. Including Phord or Mopar.

When I first noticed this car listed he was asking $9200 about two weeks ago. He may still come down a little. I figured someone here may want it or know a buyer. I don't think it will sell locally. Might be worth keeping an eye on.

Sure looks like it...and it's still being advertised as a "one owner car". Makes you wonder how many cars are flipped without the name on the title being changed.
