9K seems cheap for that car. Why not throw it on Ebay and see what happens???

The answer to that would be laziness Richard! I haven't advertised it anywhere but here, not really wanting to sell it as I have way more than that into it, but 3 cars are too much! Plus, the wife wants a new kitchen...if I don't sell by the time I'm done with the vista, it will get the motor yanked, sealed and repainted back to original colors.....the hood will get done and I will raise the price naturally!

Beautiful car! I am surprised it hasn't sold yet. It's well worth what your asking.

The F85 was only available as a 4 door in 1972, body number D69.
The Cutlass was available as a 2 door, body number F87 and 4 door, body G69.
The Cutlass S was available as 2 door HT, # G87 and 2 door sports coupe, # G77.

Love your car. If I was closer I might jump all over it.

Rick

Yes you are right. We discussed this at the beginning of the thread, but I can't change the title of it now. Like an idiot, I got my info from OPGI if I remember. They do a breakdown of the vin, and said that this was an F-85. Obviously, they aren't experts. Thanks to all who have given compliments!

Very nice car! Would you be interested in selling it as a roller and knocking the price down?

Glad to hear it sold. Can I ask how much you got? I was interested at one time but went a different route. I live in Lindenhurst. Frank

The F85 was available in 72 as a Cutlass because of the GM strike it's really a 71 same exact car with no F85 banners.

When Fisher Body went on strike GM released only 2 very slightly revised 71 versions. The 4 door Town Sedan with F85 markings & the 2door hard top coupe Under the Cutlass name. Most ended up with 71 front fog lenses & 72 rear tail light lenses. Just happen to have one handy like.
