70 W30 not mine

this is on ebay near me, interestingly the protect o plate nor the other document say anything about W-30 - sure looks like a nice car and a real W-30 even seems to have a complete W27 unless the center section was painted silver - hard to tell. Was there ever any W30 documentation besides the build sheet - did any docs from the dealer ever document a W30 or did that vary by dealer.

The broadcast card is the essential to verify if the car left the factory as a W30. If the car was sold new in Canada, GM of Canada documentation is also available. Any other documentation from the dealer may support it, but could be suspect. This car has a power brake booster which was not available on W30 4 speeds in 1970. It either has been added or the car is not a legitimate W30. On a car of this dollar value, I would want to see that broadcast card.

How about that, I saw that but forgot it was a 4-speed

"Looks like 71-72 front fenders."

Stupidly - mine does as well now - dumbest thing I did but hey that's all I could find at the time, If I knew then what I knew now I would have used Elmer's glue to fix my originals if I had to.

Last night I sent an email to the seller requesting data from the cowl tag. I have yet to receive a response. He has responded to other inquiries at this time.

The description claims the car is painted Astro Blue. Looks more like Viking Blue to me (my car is Astro Blue and closely matches the 1970 Olds Exterior Colors guide).
